Italian food is my FAVORITE and ravioli is at the top of the list. My grandmother would always make homemade ravioli when I was growing up and every time I eat this meal I think of her!
Pasta and Provisions is famous for their homemade pasta specialties. I had three different raviolis for my birthday dinner that consisted of the butternut squash ravioli, mushroom ravioli, and spinach ravioli. They were ALL delicious but the butternut squash ravioli was the one I liked the best!
The recipe for the butternut squash ravioli sauce consists of three simple ingredients for a quick, easy, weeknight meal. The ingredients are butter, shallots, and sage.
The first step in preparing the butternut squash ravioli sauce is to add 6-8 tablespoons of butter to the pan. Let it melt and begin to foam up. Add thinly sliced shallots and let brown.
Once the shallots are beginning to brown, add the sage to the pan. Allow it to crisp for best flavor. Serve on top of butternut squash ravioli.
