Asparagus is a delicious and nutritious food that is loaded with fiber, folate, and Vitamins A, C, and K. Although it can be cooked in many different ways, oven roasted asparagus makes for a great flavor and can be prepared pretty quickly. This healthy asparagus recipe features minimal ingredients and cooks in about 15-20 minutes.
Preparing the Oven Roasted Asparagus
Start by rinsing and cutting off the bottom portions of the asparagus. I like to do this by bending the bottom half with my fingers until it breaks in half. Then, I cut off a small piece from the portion I am going to prepare just to make sure the stalks are nice and even.
Next, place the stalks on a stainless steel baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil on the asparagus and add salt, pepper, and whatever other seasonings you would like to add! We like to add the Rustic Herb seasoning from Tastefully Simple.
Side note: I like to use my fingers to rub the olive oil and seasonings all over the asparagus. It helps spread everything out evenly so that it cooks perfect!
Add the asparagus to the oven and cook at 425 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. (Cooking times will vary based on the thickness of the asparagus stalks.) Squeeze about a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice on top of the oven roasted asparagus for additional flavor.

Oven Roasted Asparagus
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 teaspoons Tastefully Simple Rustic Herb seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 bunch asparagus
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Rinse and trim the asparagus stalks. Place them on a baking dish.
- Add the olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and Tastefully Simple Rustic Herb Seasoning to the asparagus. Rub on evenly with hands.
- Bake the asparagus for about 10-15 minutes. Top with fresh lemon juice before serving.
- Enjoy!
