Buffalo chicken dip is a classic for football tailgating season. We are currently getting ready to watch the first Ohio State game of the season and Paul is ecstatic to say the least, especially since the football season was practically nonexistent last season due to covid. So, YAY to football and some sense of normality again!! 😃
I feel like anyone who has ever been to a football tailgate or football pregame has had the popular, and famous, buffalo chicken dip. While there are many different ways to make this classic dish, Paul and I decided to create the 5 ingredient chicken dip recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients
- 20 oz rotisserie chicken
- 16 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bunch celery cut into 4 inch pieces
Instructions
- Shred the rotisserie chicken and add it to a skillet. Stir in hot sauce, cream cheese, and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers and/or tortilla chips.
