An easy sugar cookies recipe served perfectly as a dessert, especially on occasions!
With the holidays right around the corner, baking is something we have been doing a lot of recently. Last weekend we decided to make a traditional Christmas recipe of homemade sugar cookies. These are perfect for Christmas cut-outs of all shapes and sizes.
Ingredients for the Sugar Cookies
The recipe consists of flour, baking soda, baking powder, butter, white sugar, egg, and vanilla.
Sugar Cookie Recipe
Begin by preheating the oven to 375 degrees. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set to the side. Then, in a separate bowl mix the butter and sugar. Slowly add in the vanilla and egg. Blend in the dry ingredients until a dough is formed.
Roll out the cookie dough with a rolling pin until it is about 1/4 of an inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out the easy sugar cookies. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 8-10 minutes.
