Sugar Cookies
This homemade sugar cookie recipe is great for making Christmas cut outs. Delicious, sweet, and loved by the whole family!
Ingredients
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set to the side.
- Combine the butter and sugar in a separate bowl. Mix together well. Slowly add in the vanilla and egg.
- Blend in the dry ingredients until a dough is formed.
- Form rounded balls of dough for regular sugar cookies, or use Christmas cookie cut-outs for Christmas sugar cookies.
- Bake for about 8-10 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool for about 1-2 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
