Easy Almond and Cherry Thumbprint Cookies

These easy almond and cherry thumbprint cookies are simply almond cookies plus maraschino cherries. We make them using Tastefully Simple's Absolutely Almond Pound Cake mix, which is phenomenal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Absolutely Almond Pound Cake mix Tastefully Simple
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Add the butter, eggs, and pound cake mix to a bowl. Mix well.
  • Knead the dough with your hands and begin forming 1 inch balls.
  • Place on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Use your thumb to gently indent the center of the cookies.
  • Place 1/2 to a whole maraschino cherry on each cookie.
  • Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
